CVAF Code of Conduct
The Cathedral Village Arts Festival is a celebration of Community and the Arts.
Our goal is to help friends and neighbours achieve their ambitions in safety and joy. An important part of our Festival is the annual Street Fair which serves as a showcase for commerce, conversation, and creativity.
However, the CVAF is not a place for behaviour that is inappropriate, disruptive, abusive, or illegal.
The CVAF defines “inappropriate behaviour” as that which undermines the spirit of the Festival including verbal or physical abuse or threats, the use of derogatory or discriminatory language, gestures or actions, any form of harassment, racism, sexism, homophobia/transphobia, or comments which may violate the values of our community.
If a vendor, performer, volunteer or other person acting as a part of the CVAF engages in inappropriate behaviour as determined by the CVAF organizing committee or staff, the CVAF reserves the right to carry out an appropriate course of action which may include: verbal warnings, expulsion from the event without a refund, and/or banning the offender from future festivals.
We are committed to providing a safe and inclusive space for vendors, performers, attendees, volunteers, and staff, free from harassment, discrimination, or inappropriate behaviour of any sort.
Please support the spirit of our festival, be courteous and friendly to everyone, and take pride in what we can all achieve by working together.
